E. YouTube/Google data (when you connect accounts)
● We access only the scopes you explicitly grant. This may include channel, video, and analytics metadata necessary for optimization suggestions (e.g., title/description/tags/thumbnail metadata, performance metrics). We do not read your Gmail content or contacts.

We do not use your private YouTube data to build advertising profiles, for ad targeting, or to sell data.
4) YouTube API Services & Google OAuth (Limited Use)
When you connect a YouTube channel or Google account, TubeTuner may use
YouTube API Services and
Google OAuth. By enabling these features, you agree to the
YouTube Terms of Service and Google policies, including the
Google Privacy Policy.
We follow Google’s
API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use):
● We only access the minimum YouTube/Google data needed to provide requested features.
● We do
not sell YouTube/Google data or transfer it to third parties for ads or marketing.
● Human access to Your YouTube/Google data is
restricted and occurs only (i) with your explicit consent, (ii) for security or abuse investigations, (iii) to comply with law, or (iv) to maintain and improve the Service when data is aggregated/de-identified.
● You can
revoke our access at any time at
myaccount.google.com/permissions. Some features will stop working after revocation.

5) Cookies & analytics
We use:
● Essential cookies for login, security, and core features.
● Preference cookies to remember settings.
● Analytics to understand usage and improve the Service (aggregated reporting).
● No third‑party ad cookies are used for targeted advertising.
Your controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may break the Service. Where required by law, we display a cookie banner and honor your choices.
6) Our roles under data protection laws
Depending on the context:
● For your account, billing, and Service telemetry, TubeTuner is a data controller.
● For customer content you submit to be processed by the Service (e.g., titles, descriptions, metadata) and any connected platform data processed solely to provide the Service to you, TubeTuner acts as a data processor on your behalf.
A Data Processing Addendum (DPA) is available for eligible paid plans upon request.
7) Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
● Contract: to provide the Service you request.
● Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent fraud, and communicate important updates.
● Consent: for optional features (e.g., certain cookies) where required.
● Legal obligation: to comply with laws, tax/financial recordkeeping, and lawful requests.
8) How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
● Service providers (processors): hosting, storage, security, analytics, email delivery, customer support, and payments—bound by confidentiality and data protection terms.
● At your direction: when you connect third-party services or collaborate with team members.
● Legal & safety: to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
● Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (we’ll continue to protect your information and notify you of material changes).
A list of sub‑processors is available upon request or may be posted at /legal/subprocessors.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising as defined by the CPRA.
9) International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one you reside in. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect cross‑border transfers.
10) Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal/financial obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. After your account is closed, we delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period, subject to backup retention and legal requirements.
11) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data (such as OAuth tokens), least‑privilege access, and audit logging. No system is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and using strong passwords and MFA where available.
12) Your rights & choices

13) Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
14) Automated decision‑making
We use algorithms/AI to generate suggestions (e.g., titles, tags, descriptions). We do not use automated decision‑making that has legal or similarly significant effects without human oversight.
15) Third‑party sites & services
The Service may link to third‑party websites or services (e.g., YouTube). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
16) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, technical, or operational reasons. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., email or in‑app) and indicate a new effective date. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
